Terms of Service

gtools is a free collection of tools offered as-is. Using any of them means accepting the terms below.

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. What the service is

gtools is a set of small, independent web apps — Tasks, Omnisearch, Calendar View, Sheet Card, Keep — that each help you view or work with one part of Google Workspace. Each runs entirely in your browser. There is no account to create with gtools itself, and no fee.

2. What it does not do

Each app holds only the Google OAuth scope(s) it needs for its own function, as listed in the Privacy Policy. Most scopes are read-only; the few that allow writes (Tasks, Sheet Card) only ever act on data you explicitly edit inside that app, and only within the specific list or sheet you open.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Accuracy

Data shown by gtools comes directly from Google's APIs at the time of your request and is not independently verified or cached on any server. Do not treat gtools's display as an authoritative record of your Workspace data — always check the original Google product (Gmail, Calendar, Tasks, Drive, Keep) for anything that matters.

5. Privacy

Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: each app touches only the scope it needs, and nothing leaves your browser except direct calls to Google's own APIs.

6. Availability

gtools is a personal project, provided without any guarantee of availability. It may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice, and individual apps may be added or removed. It also depends on the relevant Google APIs remaining available; if Google changes or withdraws that access, an app may stop working.

7. No warranty

gtools is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher of gtools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of or inability to use these tools — including changes you make to your own Google data through them. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Relationship to Google

gtools is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google LLC. Gmail, Google Tasks, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Keep and Google Chat are trademarks of Google LLC.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version always lives at this URL with its "last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
